Have you ever wondered if you had the power to make time stop? Have you ever hoped you had spent more time with your loved ones? And just when you realize you could have done better, it’s too late. No matter how hard you pray or how many tears you cry, there’s no going back.
When you think losing a loved one can be difficult, how will you describe losing three of them in three years? Still recovering from a loss in the first year and going through the same devastating feeling in the second, the third loss had Efren Carpio questioning everything. There’s shock, there’s denial; there’s anger, and then there’s guilt. He felt guilty about TIME — TIME he could have spent more with his departed loved ones and TIME when he could have shown them more love than he ever did.
“Priceless” is a story of unimaginable loss and tragic life events Carpio experienced. In his most personal depiction yet, the frozen clock series signifies a time in his life he hopes to turn back to and wants to hold on to a little longer. Eventually, he learned to let go and accept that he could not bring them back. But just like most people dealing with the loss of a loved one, if only they could, they surely would.
