“Late to the Party” is a Two-Man exhibition by Aui Suarez and Tracie Anglo-Dizon aimed at exploring the essence of a “home” and the relationship one has with the objects within the vicinity of it. Through their compositions, the idea of a home is scrutinized; the space represented is questioned as a safe haven or an echo chamber, with one affording the luxuries of self-discovery and the other as a containment inhibiting stream of thought. Amidst situating themselves within this virtual plane, both women manifest their own experiences as females, homemakers and mothers alike, given their respective mediums and subject matter. Similarly adept in painting nuanced objects onto canvas, the women weave sentimental pictures representative of their personal experiences.
