“Coincidental Connections” is a Solo Exhibition by Jay Ragma.

Jay Ragma, hails from Caloocan City. He studied Bachelor of Fine Arts major in Advertising Arts at the University of the East Caloocan, Philippines. He won first place in the 2018 GSIS Art Competition (non-representational category), received Exemplary Award in Visual Arts – 2015 University of the East Caloocan, and won first place in the 2016 Art Association of the Philippines On-the-spot painting competition.

Jay Ragma delivers canvases of retinal delight and energy, comprising of zinging threadlike fine lines in horizontal, vertical, diagonal, and perpendicular directions. Tightly organized and compact in linear masses, the works are driven by accelerating speed, creating a virtual tapestry bursting at the seams, propelled by continuous movement and springing, vibration.
