“Ashes to ashes, dust to dust”. The uncertainty of the times has left us with this proverbial saying looming in our consciousness, like a dagger that hangs precariously over our heads. The casualties in this global pandemic have already totalled in the millions and are continuously multiplying, constantly reminding us of the cyclical state of our existence-“to dust we shall return”. This pandemic that affects us all, obligates us to cover ourselves with masks, but also unmasks us and peels off layers to reveal the true core of our human nature.

“Abo’t” An ambiguous term that may mean “ashes” or to “reach out”, has in one way or the other manifested itself in these uncertain times, either in its intention a helping and giving hand to extend life, or by its direct meaning the state we inevitably must all be reduced to, the end of life.
